DESCRIPTION:LINDA SINNETT\, MBA\, CPA\, CGMA\n\nLinda started her career as a CPA within the public accounting sector in Emporia\, Kansas.  After two years in public accounting\, Linda was recruited by a client to become a Controller for Kincaid\, a multi-company group in the Kansas City area.  During her career with Kincaid Group\, she took on increasing responsibility managing the finance department\, managing IT\, writing policies and procedures\, leading acquisition teams\, managing consolidated revenue growth to over $200M\, and working with key managers to develop strategic planning.  Throughout her career with Kincaid Group\, Linda enjoyed multiple promotions and ended her career with them as Chief Financial Officer.  \n\n\n\nCurrently\, Linda serves in the executive capacity as Chief Financial Officer for Design Resources\, a multi-company group in Overland Park\, Kansas.  Design Resources\, Inc. is a design\, international sourcing and import company of caps\, apparel and accessories.  DRI is an import agent for their affiliated companies for which Linda is also the CFO\; Branded Custom Sportswear\, a distributor of Nike apparel to the college market\; and DRI-Duck Traders\, a propriety brand of apparel marketed to the wholesale market and also serving customers via the web.   Linda joined the DRI companies in March\, 2010. Since coming on board\, she has successfully led the finance team and served as a strategic partner to the CEO through a six year growth period of double digit growth year over year. \n\n\n\nPrior to joining DRI\, she was the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer (CFO/COO) for Zouire\, LLC. Originally hired in the capacity of CFO\, Linda was responsible for all aspects of human resources\, finance\, inventory procurement\, and information technology.  Process improvement\, budgeting\, and operational management were key focus areas.  Successful leadership led to the promotion from CFO to CFO / COO.  In this new role\, she became additionally responsible for customer service\, operations and warehousing.  \n\n\n\nLinda's core values of ethical leadership\, respect for others\, responsibility to shareholders\, and community involvement is apparent. Her core belief is to treat the company as if you own it\, which results in a strong strategic partnership with shareholders.  She believes by creating shareholder value\, the longevity of the company is supported\, which in turn serves the greater good for the employees\, customers\, vendors and the business community.    Linda's goal is to be a servant leader.  She recognizes that the strength of an organization is within its people.  \n\n\n\nLinda holds an active permit and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Kansas. She has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration in Personnel Management from Emporia State University.  She also has a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the same university.  After getting both degrees in four years\, she left the education system to return a year later to complete a second major in Accounting and subsequently successfully completed the CPA exam.  In 2010\, Linda returned to school to pursue her Masters of Business Degree while working full time.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Emporia State University in 2014 with a MBA degree.\n\nLinda is a former recipient of the CFO of the Year 2013 award presented by the Kansas City Business Journal.  She subsequently served as CFO of the Year Judge in 2014 and 2015.  Linda was recognized as Member of the Year of Financial Executives International (FEI) in May 2014 and subsequently  joined their Board in July 2014 for which she is still serving.   Linda was nominated for Women Who Mean Business by Arvest Bank in 2014.  Nominated again by Allison Simms in 2015\, Linda was honored in the class of 2015 Women Who Mean Business.  She is a board member of Bra Couture Kansas City\, a fund-raising group for the un-insured and under-insured Kansas City area cancer patients.  Linda is enjoying raising her two grandson's age 2 and 7.
