Centered Leadership is a model developed by McKinsey & Company with Joanna Barsh and used by fortune 500 Companies to help women realize their potential with overcoming common obstacles. These concepts are explored in depth in the book “How Remarkable Women Lead”. Our presentation provides the foundation of the following concepts: Meaning, Managing Energy, Positive Framing, Connecting, and Engaging.

About the Speaker:

Nicole Julius, Partner Risk Advisory Services, is the partner responsible for overseeing Grant Thornton’s Risk Advisory Services practice in Kansas City and Attestation services practice in the Great Plains territory. She has over 12 years of consulting and public accounting experience. She specializes in special attestation reporting, for regulatory compliance and Service Organization Control reports. She has significant experience in internal audit, IPO readiness, regulatory compliance readiness, IT assessments, IT risk assessments, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. She has experience in a variety of industries, primarily focusing on the highly regulated financial services and healthcare industries.

Nicole has significant experience assisting companies in consolidation of their regulatory and compliance efforts with a ‘test once, report many’ approach. She has helped companies reduce the burden of audit by leveraging work performed to evaluate compliance with applicable criteria against multiple rules and regulations.

The past 12 months she led the Grant Thornton initiative to become a HITRUST assessor firm and completed the training and exam to become a certified assessor. Nicole is a CPA and Certified Information Systems Auditor. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Nicole spent time in the IT Advisory practice of a Big 4 accounting firm. A graduate from the Ohio State University, Nicole has spent her career consulting with businesses on their compliance requirements and third party vendor risk management.
