CXS | Business Etiquette - Noon
Common sense is no longer common and business deals are being made and broken every day because of it. Janis Kliethermes of Etiquette Kansas City will give you some tricks of the trade on how you can make a great first impression. Have you avoided introducing someone because you’ve forgotten their name? Did you know that you always mention the more “important” person’s name first when making an introduction? Are you aware of your body language and eye contact when meeting someone? Do you know which side you find your bread plate? Did you know that you can affect a business deal if you eat Continental style vs. American style? Networking and conversation skills are separating the “men from the boys” so build your confidence with some life skill tips. Cell phones and emails are a great way to have instant contact with your clients and employees, but are you building relationships or distancing yourself? Are you dressing for success or failure? Come find out the answers to these questions and more to see if you are putting your best foot forward on the job.
Janis Kliethermes has been a business professional in Kansas City for over 25 years.
In her daily world, she saw a need for programs designed to help children and adults present themselves in the best possible way, everyday and in every situation.
After receiving her etiquette training through Manners, Incorporated, she began offering children’s classes through Nordstrom and private schools. She has since expanded to conduct her custom designed programs to colleges, scout troops, country clubs and organizations.
Janis has seen the biggest demand in corporate etiquette. She has trained numerous professionals for Fortune 500 companies as well as local Kansas City firms. Her experience includes professional speaking and training across the United States, Canada and Australia.
Janis has two daughters and credits her family for unknowingly giving her new material all the time.
