CXS | "Creating a Haven" - Noon
Does it seem like you spend every waking hour focused on others? Do you often find yourself frazzled by the end of the day, wondering where it went? Do you sometimes wish you could just take a few minutes for yourself? These are the moments when it’s great to have a haven, a safe or peaceful place. It is a space that offers favorable conditions to promote relaxation, meditation, or creativity to help you live the life you want.
Join interior decorator, Lisa Holiman of Breath of Fresh Flair, as she shows you how to create a haven for yourself that is surrounded by beauty and serenity.
Lisa Holiman started her business ten years ago, after a real estate agent told her parents they needed to declutter and depersonalize their home before putting it on the market for sale. She streamlined, rearranged furniture and accessorized the home. When the house sold after two weeks (along with an offer from the buyer for all the furniture and accessories) she knew she was onto something.
Today she helps realtors and homeowners market their homes to sell at the highest price and in the shortest amount of time. She works with clients to redesign their homes using their existing furnishings and accessories in a new way. If someone needs help with color consultations, personal shopping, or remodeling, Lisa’s able to offer assistance on those types of projects as well. In the past, Lisa owned a small women’s boutique, so she can help with visual merchandising and store layouts.
Lisa has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska. She worked for many years as an insurance claims specialist, working with contractors and homeowners around the US and Canada, to reconstruct their homes after catastrophic events, like earthquakes, hurricanes and fires. She’s trained with an interior design team and taken numerous design classes from Johnson County Community College throughout the years. These experiences enable her to help people create unique spaces that help them feel good in their surroundings.
