Lynn Parman, President and CEO of the American Royal Association, will be our guest for August.
As President & CEO of the American Royal Association, Lynn directs a team of volunteers and staff in fulfilling its youth and agriculture mission that has been in Kansas City since 1899. Each year more than 270,000 people attend American Royal events and programs including the World Series of Barbeque, Livestock Shows, ProRodeo and Equestrian Shows in addition to several scholarship and agricultural education programs for youth. The American Royal generates over $60 million of economic impact and supports 450 jobs.
With 20 years of broad experience in non-profit leadership, regional economic development, local government and the animal health industry, Lynn Parman brings a unique understanding of the agribusiness and animal health sector and a passion for supporting youth education. Previous to her role with the American Royal, Parman served in leadership roles in Sales & Marketing and Corporate Communications for Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. She has also worked six years as a vice president of bioscience development for the Kansas City Area Development Council and directed a team in the creation, launch and successful execution of the KC Animal Health Corridor brand. Ms. Parman held vice president roles in economic development and business development at Lawrence Chamber of Commerce and St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce respectively where she worked closely with the agriculture sector.
Parman holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute.
