SUMMARY:DT | Before It Comes to Blows! Part III of III - Managing Conflict From Higher Ground- Noon
DESCRIPTION:Part Three of Three Foundational Concepts and Principles\n\nWhile no one enjoys conflict\, it is often inevitable in a working environment. Unnecessary conflict can\, at very least\, affect production\, morale and employee retention. At worst\, unresolved conflict can cripple an organization.\n\nThe most successful and dynamic organizations\, corporations and individuals learn how to resolve conflict before it starts\, and create an atmosphere that fosters buy-in\, understanding and expression.\n\nThese skills do not typically come naturally\, but they can be learned! Participants will leave this program understanding how to prevent most conflict before it arises and how to manage that which can't be prevented\, to minimize its effect on individuals and the overall organization.\n\n\n\nWho Will Benefit from this Program\n\nManagers\n\nSupervisors\n\nEmployees who enjoy their job\, but hate the conflict\n\nAnyone struggling with conflict in their workplace\n\nLearning Objectives\n\nThe value of conflict prevention vs. conflict management\n\n	How to function successfully in the midst of on-going conflict\n	How to see issues from multiple perspectives\n	The difference between reacting and responding in stressful situations\n	How to keep their emotions from running the show\n	How to find the win-win-win from a well-managed conflict\n\n Part Three - Dealing with Difficult People and Behaviors\n\nThis session culminates the conflict triptych\, giving participants vital communication skills for targeted conflict situations and how to deal with and change difficult behaviors. Participants will leave understanding the role differences and diversities play in creating conflict and how to prevent conflict before it arises.\n\n\n\nLauren Schieffer\, CSP works with leaders and organizations who want to go from successful to SIGNIFICANT. Sometimes creating significance involves refining how we communicate with other people. Sometimes it involves changing how we communicate with ourselves. Often it involves shifting our paradigm on what "success" is supposed to look like.\n\n\n\nAble to relate to and energize everyone from the custodial staff to C-Level executives\, Lauren has spent her career pinpointing characteristics of significance\, how to understand differing communication styles\, and how to prevent and manage conflict from the High Road. Whether presenting a keynote\, a break-out session\, full day training or consulting\, what makes Lauren so exceptional is that she is a master storyteller and humorist. She delivers inspirational and relevant content\, infusing humor and interaction. \n\nHer clients include The United States Departments of Labor\, Agriculture\, Veterans Affairs and Justice\, Colgate Palmolive\, QuikTrip\, CenturyLink\, InterContinental Hotel Group and State Farm Insurance.\n\nHer enthusiasm is contagious and her passion unmistakable.
