Architect Michele Kiehl will discuss her research and plans for raised garden beds including vertical gardens\, and Phyllis Carlyle will share her experiences setting up an easy\, inexpensive drip irrigation system for container plants.\n\n\nWhether you need to host a fund-raising gala or woo that special hire\, the ability to warmly welcome others into your space with aplomb is critical to business and personal success. Learn how to be that special friend or colleague who exudes hospitality in the home\, at a business luncheon\, or a networking event. This special interest group replaces and expands the mission of Total Yard Gardeners to help all CX members develop their personal hospitality strengths and styles. Guest speakers and panels will encourage CX members to embrace the role of host\, both at home and at business and social events. The special interest group will tackle worries like "My house isn't nice enough\," or "I'm not a good cook\," or "I could never pull that off." We'll practice what we preach too\, by continuing the tradition of Summer Garden Parties as Summer Hospitality Parties for CX members. Come expand your hospitality horizons.
