Currently Laura is an Education Consultant and Entrepreneur. She works with organizations like Kauffman\, Teach Kansas City\, and recruits for various charter schools within the metro. \n\n\n\nFormerly Laura experienced corporate\, nonprofit and labor industries. Laura has a Master of Science in organizational leadership (MSOL) with an emphasis in change management from Quinnipiac University. She earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science at the University of Houston. \n\n\n\nLaura serves as Literacy KC's Board Secretary\, Chairs the Greater Kansas City Women's Political Caucus Program Committee\, completed Kauffman's Education Advocacy Program and is a supporter of the Latinx Education Collaborative. Laura also co-chairs fundraisers with her fianc \, Edgar Palacios. \n\n\n\nAs a bilingual leader\, Laura was trained in board governance and has served as president and executive member of organizations such as: NSHMBA\, Young Latino Professionals\, Sister Cities of Kansas City. Laura was humbled to have been selected to be a Rockstar with Band of Angels in 2019 and Woman of the Year candidate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in early 2013.\n\n\n\nInterested in membership?
