Most people don't understand what Legal Aid does -- you will learn about the only organization that goes to civil court and defends people's rights in our five-county region -- and what that actually means to you. This is an important topic -- one that all of us should know about!\n\n\n\nSpeaker Bio:\n\nWhen Joe Dandurand joined Legal Aid of Western Missouri as its Executive Director in February of 2017\, he brought with him an abundance of experience and passion. Immediately before this\, he was Deputy Attorney General for the State of Missouri\, serving as the equivalent of the COO for 185 attorneys and 200 lay staff from 2009 to 2017. From March 2007 to 2009\, he was an Appellate Judge for the Western District of Missouri and before that\, Circuit Judge on the 17th Judicial Circuit\, having been elected in 1986 as the youngest circuit judge in Missouri.
