Laura joined Labconco Board of Directors in March 2016 and assumed the role of Vice Chairman in July 2019 and became Chairman and CEO in July 2020. Prior to Labconco she spent 5 years with E&I Cooperative as the Vice President of Research and Academic Healthcare and 18 years with VWR International\, and Avantor Company\, holding various sales and managerial positions. Laura also served as the Head of Contracting and Procurement for The Stowers Institute for Medical Research\, and as Strategic Relationship Director for Thermo Fisher Scientific\, Life Technologies.\n\n \n\nLaura serves on the Board of Directors for MRIGlobal Board of Trustees\, Commerce Bank Kansas City Advisory Council\, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts Ensemble Advisory Council\, University of Kansas Advancement Board\, and Denison University Board of Advisors.\n\n \n\nLaura has two boys\, Spencer (University of Indiana) and Ben (The Pembroke Hill School\, Kansas City). Both boys are student athletes including Spencer as a cyclist at IU and Ben playing high school football\, lacrosse and swimming. Laura enjoys cooking\, mountain biking\, golf\, tennis\, and yoga. More than anything\, she enjoys being a mom. Laura is a graduate of Denison University where she received a B.A. with a double major in Biology and Dance.
