First Lieutenant Lauren Pascale shares her motivation to leave a desk job in 2015 to join the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery Officer. After college\, Lauren spent 7 years as a Department of the Army civilian employee at Fort Shafter\, Hawaii and the Pentagon\, Washington\, D.C. Lauren enlisted in the Army at the tender age of 29\, and completed basic training\, officer candidate school\, and field artillery school. Lauren has served embedded with an infantry company as an indirect fires expert\, as a cannon platoon leader and logistics officer. Lauren's hobbies include weightlifting\, listening to podcasts\, and volunteering for KC Pet Project.
