Traumatic events close to home and throughout the world can have a significant impact on a person’s mental, physical, emotional, and social health. When we work with people through a trauma-informed lens, it can improve the quality of our interactions with others. This presentation will answer the questions: What is trauma? How does trauma affect people? Why is a trauma-informed approach important to your organization? What does it look like to practice trauma-informed care with others?
