Presenter Bio:

Aviva Ajmera
Aviva is SoLVE’s co-founder, President and Chief Operating Officer.
After almost 25 years of leading strategy creation and implementation, new product development, brand management, consumer marketing and organization re-design, there’s no marketing problem Aviva hasn’t SoLVEd.
Prior to SoLVE, Aviva was a partner with The Partnering Group and worked for Accenture. She’s consulted for blue chip companies including Nestle USA, Post Foods, Sara Lee, Kimberly Clark, LG Electronics, Bauer Hockey, 3M, Northwest Airlines and Fingerhut.
Before her consulting years, she was a Senior leader at Hallmark Cards, in many areas including Product Development, Innovation, Retail, Corporate Strategy, and Customer Strategy, and Business Transformation. She launched, grew and re-invented iconic marketplace programs partnering with many brands and retailers, like Disney, Starbucks, The Komen Foundation, Walmart and Walgreens.
Aviva’s been on both the consulting side and the client side of the relationship. This gives her a unique perspective on working with SoLVE’s clients.
“It’s about helping our clients in a way that’s relevant to them. We don’t have a cookie cutter approach. We roll up our sleeves, partner, coach, teach and work alongside our Clients. I’ve been the client and I’ve been the consultant. I know what feels good as a client and I know what feels bad. I want our clients to feel great about working with SoLVE.”
Aviva is an accredited Angel Investor and the Board Chair with the Women’s Capital Connection, Kansas City’s only female Angel Investing group. She is an active member of the Central Exchange and is also on the Board of the Greater Kansas City chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP).
Aviva has a BA in Economics and Policy Studies from Rice University; MBA in Marketing, Management & Strategy and Non-profit Management from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
Born and raised in Upstate New York, Aviva has made Kansas City her home for 22+ years. She is married with 1 daughter, 3 “bonus” children, and three grandchildren. Aviva enjoys running, yoga, entertaining and traveling

Teddi Hernandez

Teddi is SoLVE’s co-founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to starting SoLVE, Teddi was Co-Owner and President of Just For Her Marketing and Retail Events. The business grew during her time there because she came to deeply understand the needs and challenges of local small business owners. She identified a need for a new kind of consulting firm in Kansas City. So she created SoLVE.
Teddi’s career began as a Legislative Assistant in Washington DC, and she worked on multiple state and Presidential campaigns. After leaving the Hill, she became a lobbyist for Hallmark Cards.  Hallmark brought her to Kansas City, where she led teams in product development, licensing, customer strategy, integrated marketing, advertising and promotions. She led strategic alliances with companies like Apple, Disney Consumer Products, American Girl, Starbuck’s and Major League Baseball.
“I believe that all things are possible with the right amount of creative problem solving. I love being a true consumer in the marketplace and I believe anyone can create big ideas with the right amount of intuition and common sense.”
Teddi’s commitment to community service is extensive. She was Co-Founder of the National Race for the Cure in Washington DC, Co-Founder and Chairperson of Kansas City Race for the Cure. She has served on the boards for Camp Encourage, Kansas City Komen Foundation and Children’s International. She is currently a board member for Lake Mary and for the Blue Valley Special Olympics. She serves many ministries at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal church.
Teddi graduated from the University of Northern Colorado and also studied at the Oxford Pol University in Oxford, England.  Her passion for American Politics led her to UMKC where she completed her coursework for a Masters in Political Science.
Teddi has 5 children all adopted from around the globe, a 3-year old great-niece that also lives with them and one great husband.  Together they love watching their children in high school football and baseball, competitive gymnastics and Special Olympics.  She loves the Broncos and Royals, Real Housewives and relies on her faith for everything to live her life to the fullest.
