How can making one simple change impact your health and wellness? Think of it like depositing money into a savings account. Small deposits add up to a nice balance at the end of the year. It's true of simple lifestyle changes as well. Don't tackle everything all at once, instead try one thing each month. Nancy shares monthly ideas for different simple changes you can add into your lives that will help you create the healthy lifestyle you want to achieve, along with tips on how to make those changes stick.
Nancy is a cat with many lives! Her motto? Never get bored! She’s been a Graphic Designer at a Chicagoland studio, Special Projects Manager at G.D. Searle Pharmaceuticals, Ground Operations Manager at FedEx Express and a Marketing Consultant.
In 2009 she found herself without health insurance for the first time in 58 years! Instead of being completely stressed, Nancy decided to get healthy. That was when she found her passion: healthy food, nutrition and natural wellness, plus the desire to guide and support others on their journey to healthy living.
Nancy enrolled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and earned certification as a Holistic Health Coach in May of 2011.
She offers group and individual coaching, is a passionate Juice Plus+ advocate, and offers several Workplace Wellness presentations throughout the Metro. Nancy is also the author of a blog, The Practical Health Coach, and expects publication of her first book this year. She teaches through MidContinent Public Libraries, served as a health coach at Sylvester Powell Jr. Community Center in Mission and also offered several classes through Johnson County Parks and Recreation.
Throughout the years she has been active in a variety of organizations. Currently she is the VP of Programming for the Kansas City Express Chapter of ABWA and is stepping into the Secretary/Treasurer role of BNI Overland Park #1. An avid animal advocate, Nancy volunteers at Great Plains SPCA, and is currently supporting the Intake Department.
