DT | First Responders Build Resilience: 3 simple mindfulness strategies
If you are feeling the inevitable stress and strain of an emergency service profession, don't suffer for one more day. Take this important first step on the path to a healthier, happier life. First responders and their adult family members are encouraged to come learn the evidence-based benefits of meditation and mindfulness and discover how to use these powerful tools to mitigate stress, regulate emotion, and improve overall health.
This program is for first-responders: Law Enforcement, Fire Service, EMS, Dispatch, Corrections, Social Workers and other Mental Health Professionals, Military Veterans, and anyone who considers themselves a first responder. Active duty and retired folks are welcome. It is also appropriate for adult family members.

Attendees will learn:

• How to use the breath for instant stress management
• 3 Steps to stress relief
• A mindfulness activity to mitigate stress and reduce mental chaos
Speaker Bio:
Kim Colegrove has been practicing meditation for over 40 years and has taught mindfulness in corporate settings since 2011. She is the creator of PAUSE15 Meditation℠ and Learn to Pause℠ Mindfulness Training and the founder of The PauseFirst Project: Mindfulness for First Responders. Colegrove’s expertise in meditation has benefited individuals and corporations across the country. Her corporate clients include: Garmin International, The National Court Reporters Association, Department of Veterans Affairs, United Way, and others.
In 2014, Kim lost her husband, former police officer and Retired Special Agent David Colegrove, to suicide. She created The PauseFirst Project to honor the memory of her husband, and to help other first responders cope with stress and trauma.
