DT | Google Fiber Presents: How They Built It featuring Heather London -Urban Mining- 11:45 a.m.
Google's How They Built It series showcases how the United States was developed by people who followed their dreams to seek out and create a better way of life for their families. Today’s fast paced world helps fuel innovative ideas and provides individuals with opportunities to follow their dreams.
We welcome Heather London to the October program. Heather is a veteran treasure hunter and retail store owner in Kansas City, Missouri. She studied anthropology at Kansas State University. Heather, married mother of six, honed her interpersonal and management skills in the mean streets of the PTA before moving into the slightly wacky enclave of the antiques dealer. With her business partner, Susan Hartnett, Heather owns and operates Urban Mining, a popular "first Friday" market specializing in high style, authentic mid-century and antique furnishings, art and artifacts for the home.
