DT | How to Maintain Culture in A Remote Enterprise - 7:30am

Do you look at your computer screen more often than you look at other people?  Is email your lifeline to the outside world?  Do you go through entire days speaking only to the dog?  Tele-working is great for many people but it can be harmful to workplace communication and relationships because of its isolation and focus on tasks instead of on people.  In this program, you will learn 10 easy skills that are designed to enhance workplace communications and relationships, even if your team only sees each other face-to-face a few times a month.
Dr. Lee C. Stuart will facilitate this program beginning with an exploration of what constitutes organizational culture.  He examines the "Dunbar Number," a theoretical limit on the size of the social network that the average human can maintain.  He will provide several easy-to-implement tools to help bridge remote work teams into close-knit units.

ABOUT The Facilitator -- After three previous careers - as a Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper journalist, a senior leader of innovative product and new business development initiatives with Hallmark Cards and 12 years as principal of a boutique management consulting firm -- Dr. Lee C. Stuart recently joined the University of Kansas Edwards Campus as Leadership Programs Manager.
