DT | League of Women Voters: Making Democracy Work
Co-presidents of the League of Women Voters, Evelyn Maddox and Rosemary Durkin will share the topics on the ballot this fall, voter registration and photo ID requirements in Missouri, and why it is so important for each of us to get informed, cast our votes and make our voices heard.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League's mission on local, state, and national levels is to register voters, educate voters, and advocate for voters' rights on a nonpartisan basis. Their message is especially pertinent in this election year, when the League's non partisanship brings civility to political discourse.
