Women with Wisdom: Life-long learning for all ages
Women with Wisdom Special Interest Group helps navigate the needs of a growing and dynamic demographic within CX with relevant programming.
The purpose of this group is to develop a community of like-minded yet diverse women to share wisdom and expertise to encourage life-long learning. We focus on repurposing ourselves and our time, making the most of the next stage of life. CX members gather to hear and learn from life experiences of a different member each month. Join us as we present engaging topics, and share resources in a casual, conversational setting.
If you have “been there, done that” and want to share your experience and lots of laughter, plan to join us at a future lunch.
Mark your calendar now and register for Women with Wisdom the 2nd Wednesday of each month at CX Downtown.
We’ve all heard the advice on how to organize and simplify: make 4 piles to keep, sell, give away & throw away. But in Rita’s experience, the tougher, preliminary question is “What to Keep & What to Purge?” Often the process arises during emotional transitions, such as moving or the death of a loved one. Rita will share some insights she gained during recent transitions in her life, as well as those of a few friends and family members. She hopes the session will be interactive and fun.
Rita has never been much of a collector, but she lived in the same Fairway home for 27 years, so things naturally accumulated. Imagine what she and her family encountered in her in-law’s home of almost 60 years! A few of her negotiation and dispute resolution skills from law practice came in handy. She also discovered her creativity is not limited to writing academic articles, but to reclaiming and repurposing a few family “treasures.”
