Difficult conversations happen all around us and we all have our own challenges when it comes to having them. We handle people differently in different contexts, with our own biases and our own unique emotional triggers. The good news is that with practice, perspective, and feedback – we can work on our ability to have these difficult conversations.

- Understand the importance of personal style in defining “difficult” conversations
- Learn the importance of evaluating personal motives when approaching conversations
- Familiarize themselves with the root cause of conflict
- Practice the art of active listening
- Understand the role emotions play in difficult conversations
- Utilize tools designed to help respond to facts of situations versus the stories surrounding situations
