If you answered yes to any of the questions above, you are invited to join Central Exchange at UMKC's Bloch Executive Hall for an evening of networking, drinks, appetizers and gaining insight and knowledge about the basics of financial acumen with Emerging Leader Alum, Wendy Byram!

It turns out that even for those of us with strengths and skills in many areas, Financial Basics are not that basic! As leaders; however, it is clear that we must develop some understanding of the drivers and language around several areas of our business that are beyond our day to day focus. By doing so, we will garner key insights, develop our strategic thinking skills and influence outcomes.

Wendy Byram, Senior Director Systems Architecture at T-Mobile and an Emerging Leader Alum, has proactively advanced her leadership skillset by adding some Business Acumen Basics. Join Wendy as she shares these game-changing, key learnings with us. By learning key financial terms, drivers, levers and indicators you will better understand how decisions are made, how the financials impact our business and roles everyday and how to explain related aspects to our teams.

Wendy Byram has been in the Telecom and IT industry for over 23 years.  She has a degree in CIS (Computer Information Systems) and a Masters in Management.  She has vast knowledge in IT around full stack development, end to end lifecycle development and management, Dev Ops, as well as, business knowledge around logistics operations, Network operations and Network builds.  

Her passion is in connecting other women in STEM and technology positions as a whole. Her other passions include volunteering, being a mentor and/or mentee and raising her teenage kids. She is a board member and trusted advisor.
