Gayle Packer is Board Chair, CEO, and President of Terracon, an employee-owned engineering consulting firm specializing in environmental, facilities, geotechnical, and materials services with. Founded in 1965 with a single office providing geotechnical services, Terracon has evolved to become one of the top 20 U.S. design firms as ranked by Engineering News-Record, providing innovative, technology-based solutions from our network of 175 offices nationwide.Gayle has been instrumental to Terracon’s growth, coordinating the acquisition of more than 50 companies as part of a balanced strategy of organic growth, innovation, and acquisition. Since joining the company in 2004, she has served in many roles including attorney, co-general counsel, director of corporate services, and chief administrative officer. Stepping into the CEO role, Gayle’s challenge has been to help make a successful business more successful and scalable for the future.
Gayle was recognized in the Kansas City Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business class of 2010. She currently serves on local, regional and national non-profit boards of directors, including the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, ACE Mentor Program, Construction Industry Round Table (CIRT), the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, and the Design Professionals Coalition.
