Join Central Exchange at the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank.
Jeff Schmid, has served as president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City since 2023, and is a voting member on the Federal Open Market Committee in 2025. He will provide an economic outlook and share remarks based on his nearly four decades of banking and banking supervision. As the regional headquarters of the nation’s central bank, the Kansas City Fed and its branches in Denver, Oklahoma City and Omaha serve the seven states of the Tenth Federal Reserve District: Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Wyoming, northern New Mexico and western Missouri.
Parking Information:
The Bank's visitor lot is located just west of the Bank building and can be accessed by turning left on Wyandotte from Memorial Drive. The visitor lot will be on your left. To access the overflow parking area, continue on Memorial Drive past Wyandotte, turning left into the parking lot. As a courtesy to our neighbors at the Liberty Memorial, please refrain from parking in their circle-drive.
When you enter the Bank building, please present your photo identification to the Law Enforcement Officers stationed in the vestibule and proceed through screening.
Please plan to arrive early for this program to find parking and pass through security. All attendees must bring a valid photo ID.

Jeff Schmid is the president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
In his role, Schmid leads a workforce of close to 2,000 employees in Kansas City and its branch offices in Omaha, Denver and Oklahoma City.
The Kansas City Fed is responsible for conducting monetary policy, providing financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. Treasury; and supervising nearly 1,000 banking organizations across its seven-state region, which includes western Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming and northern New Mexico.
Schmid represents the Tenth District on the Federal Open Market Committee, which sets monetary policy for the United States. He participates in each FOMC meeting and will be a voting member in 2025.
Before joining the Kansas City Fed in August 2023, he served as president and CEO of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. He has several decades of experience leading banks and began his career as an examiner for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
