"Blind Spot" by Jon Clifton
Participants engage in interactive sessions that highlight common blind spots and their impact on leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, and organizational success. Through a blend of case studies, discussions, and self-assessment tools, the workshop helps leaders identify their blind spots and provides actionable steps to mitigate them.
The session aims to enhance self-awareness among leaders, enabling them to recognize and address blind spots that may hinder their performance. By leveraging Gallup's expertise, the workshop equips participants with practical strategies to refine their leadership approach, fostering stronger team collaboration, and driving sustained organizational growth.
Kathie Lumbard is a Global Gallup Strengths Coach and Consultant with over 18 years of invaluable experience working with Fortune 500 companies across diverse sectors. With a robust background in sales, marketing, education, professional development, and business development, she has honed a unique skill set that bridges corporate expertise with a passion for organizational growth.
Throughout an extensive career journey within Fortune 500 environments, Kathie has garnered invaluable insights into the intricacies of large-scale enterprises, understanding their dynamics, challenges, and strategies for success. Leveraging this wealth of experience, has allowed her to transition into a role as a Global Gallup Strengths Coach and Consultant, dedicated to empowering small to midsize companies in achieving organizational development and sustainable growth.
Kathie's commitment lies in facilitating transformative change within companies, aiding them in identifying and maximizing their inherent strengths while addressing core development areas through a holistic root cause approach. Kathie and her team specialize in crafting tailored solutions that drive efficiency, enhance team dynamics, and foster innovation, ultimately enabling businesses to thrive in today's competitive landscape.
Her academic journey had an unconventional start with a health science major. Soon after Kathie pivoted to a focus in business graduating with honors from Baker University in 2009 with a degree in Business Science Management. In 2020, she attended Gallup's ICF CCE Training Program and obtained Gallup's Global Strength Certification. In May 2023, Kathie completed her Executive MBA through UMKC's Henry Bloch School of Business. Starting January 2023, she joined the AdventHealth Foundation board and currently serve on their strategic development committee. When Kathie is not coaching, consulting, or teaching, you'll find her enjoying time with family, traveling, and looking for educational opportunities to further her professional growth, allowing Kathie to bring the most current strategies to her clients.
For the past 5 years, Brad Simmons has had the pleasure of driving organizational change at an award-winning marketing agency to improve quality, efficiency, and growth. By partnering with cross-functional teams, he is able to streamline processes, increase clarity of roles and responsibilities and reduce risk. Brad is a Kansas native and lives in the Kansas City area with his wife and two daughters.
Brad studied Advertising and Leadership Studies at Kansas State University, and has worked for various media companies and advertising agencies; honing his understanding of how the customer and employee experience can help drive growth. Today, he takes those skills and uses them to create learning opportunities with the goal of building up others, resulting in forming stronger teams. Brad recently completed the EMBA graduate program through UMKC Henry Bloch School of Business, which has allowed him to be an even stronger resource to his clients and teams. When he is not teaching or coaching, Brad loves listening to vinyl records, making homemade pizza, telling dad jokes, and searching for the city’s best latte.
Jennifer Crable is a liberal arts graduate of Drake University who has over 30 years of work experience in higher education, sales, marketing, and, most recently, elementary education. And while the industries have changed, one thing that remains constant is her passion for inspiring others and encouraging personal growth. Utilizing contagious enthusiasm and energetic spirit, Jennifer works to foster and strengthen relationships within teams. She creates opportunities to boost employee engagement and elevate productivity through the use of the 34 themes in Gallup's Clifton’s Strength Finders. As a lifelong Kansas City resident, Jennifer resides in Leawood with her two children and husband. Most days you can find her volunteering in the community, reading a good book, or traveling to new destinations. She is an advocate in the Special Needs community, where she is actively involved with fundraising, peer mentoring, and inclusion. Jennifer currently serves on the Board of Directors at the AdventHealth Foundation of Kansas City as Secretary and Membership/Next Gen chair.
