IN-PERSON | When Climbing the Ladder Isn’t Enough: Redefining Success on Your Own Terms

IN-PERSON | When Climbing the Ladder Isn’t Enough: Redefining Success on Your Own Terms

Success isn’t one-size-fits-all—and it rarely stays static. Whether you’re focused on becoming a stronger leader, seeking greater purpose, craving better work/life integration, or aiming for your next promotion, it’s worth asking: Is the ladder I’m on still aligned with the life I want to create?

In this engaging, reflective session, you’ll be invited to reexamine how you define success—especially when the traditional climb no longer feels like the whole story. Whether you're thriving and want to deepen your impact, feeling a quiet tug toward change, or simply sensing it’s time for something more authentic, this workshop offers space to reconnect with what matters most.

Led by Transition Coach and former healthcare executive
Lee Ann Franklin, this one-hour interactive session introduces six relatable “Ladder Scenarios” that help you identify where you are—and what subtle shifts might move you toward greater clarity, authenticity, and joy.

Research shows that in every career season, intentional reflection can increase resilience, prevent burnout, and unlock new possibilities. Sometimes, the most powerful move isn’t to leap—it’s to listen.¹

Through storytelling, guided reflection, and practical tools, you’ll:

  • Explore what kind of ladder you’re on and whether it still fits
  • Recognize signs of restlessness, misalignment, or emerging desire
  • Learn small, personalized tools to move forward with more intention and confidence
  • Deepen appreciation for your current stage as a meaningful component of who you’re becoming

✅ You’ll leave with renewed perspective, actionable insights, and a next step that feels just right for you.

Lee Ann Franklin is a speaker, workshop leader, and transition coach with a deep background in leadership, mindfulness, grief, and personal transformation.

As the former Executive Director of Spiritual Care & Ethics at a Level One Trauma Center/Public Hospital, Lee Ann supported healthcare workers, teams, and organizational leaders through profound challenges—including the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier in her career, she served as a Creative Director and Innovation Leader at Hallmark Cards, Inc., where she leveraged her leadership and creative expertise to help the company adapt to the disruptive shifts brought on by the rise of the internet in the social expression industry. In addition, as a board-certified chaplain in both hospice and hospital settings, Lee Ann provided compassionate care to thousands of patients and families during times of illness, death, and grief.

Her personal journey—including divorce, cross-country moves, career changes, and caregiving for both parents—has deeply informed her understanding of transition, uncertainty, and healing. These experiences, along with her professional background, have fueled her passion for guiding others through life’s pivotal moments.

Today, through Second Act Soul Coaching, Lee Ann creates and leads soul-centered workshops and retreats designed to empower individuals navigating transition. Her programs combine mind-body-spirit practices, storytelling, and experiential learning to help participants gain clarity, resilience, and confidence. With a grounded belief that the next chapter can be the best chapter yet, Lee Ann equips others with the tools and insight to move forward with intention and hope.
