Speaker Bio:

Katie Bean is managing director and editor of Thinking Bigger Business Media, a resource for Kansas City small business owners. Thinking Bigger connects entrepreneurs to the people and strategies they need to grow through a monthly magazine, events and annual publications including The Guide for Entrepreneurs & Growing Businesses and Smart Companies to Watch.
 
Katie's background is in newspaper journalism. She earned a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Kansas in 2004, which she supplemented with an MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2017. She has worked at the Lawrence Journal-World and Kansas City Business Journal before leading Thinking Bigger's operations. She loves learning about Kansas City businesses and telling their stories.
