Tues. June 21--the first day of summer! 5:30 to 7:00
The Reid property is a big work in progress. Transplanted lilies, daisies,
and shrub roses from Rita's Fairway house are doing great and provide spots of interest on the front and side yards. A wildflower meadow in back is a goal, in part to eliminate some of the lawn mowing. But the swaying prairie grass has been hard to establish. Birds and bees enjoyed the flowers last year, nevertheless. Three trees have died and left huge blank spots, so
bring ideas. We may be in the midst of a siding tear off and redo, so some imagination about the house may be required.
A light supper will be provided by the Central Exchange. Bring wine if you wish.
