The COVID-19 pandemic has forever transformed the workforce. The shift to hybrid work has become the new reality for countless companies. With that shift, comes challenges. Through this four-part series, we will look at how employers can sustain a positive company culture and team cohesiveness while blending virtual and in-person working arrangements.
In this second program of the series, we will explore navigating remote workplaces through technology, with the help of industry expert women who are doing great things for the culture of hybrid.

Juanita Booheister is an Information Technology leader with a unique balance of technical depth, leadership and business acumen. She has extensive knowledge in Master Data Management, Data Lifecycle Management and Data Governance. Her focus is helping organizations align their data assets to fulfill business strategies and streamline processes to improve efficiency and productivity. She is a Consultant in Kansas City at Sogeti part of Capgemini.
She enjoys volunteering, mentoring and is involved with her local Data Management Association (DAMA) chapter participating in educational opportunities with fellow professionals. Her weekends are generally filled enjoying her lake house with friends and family.
Wendy Byram has been in the Telecom and IT industry for over 23 years. She has a degree in CIS (Computer Information Systems) and a Masters in Management. She has vast knowledge in IT around full stack development, end to end lifecycle development and management, Dev Ops, as well as, business knowledge around logistics operations, Network operations and Network builds.
Her passion is in connecting other women in STEM and technology positions as a whole. Her other passions include volunteering, being a mentor and/or mentee and raising her teenage kids.
She is a board member and trusted advisor.
Erin Christensen serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the KC Tech Council, a membership-based association serving as the regional advocate for Kansas City’s tech industry. Prior to her appointment to COO in May 2022, Erin lead workforce initiatives for the Tech Council which included the implementation of a leading tech apprenticeship program. Her role currently focuses on member and sponsor engagement, supporting workforce development, and member program development. Prior to joining the Tech Council in October 2020, Erin had a long tenure working in higher education with a recent focus on corporate engagement.
She currently serves on the BSIT Advisory Board for The University of Kansas Edwards Campus and on the Industry Executive Council for the North Kansas City School District. Erin is in her second year of the Greater Kansas City Chamber’s Centurions Leadership Program. Receiving both her bachelor and master’s degrees from Northwest Missouri State University, Erin is originally from Rolla, MO but landed in Kansas City in 2014. She currently resides in Lees Summit, MO with her husband and daughter.
Kate Procter is a Digital Experience Specialist and Office 365 Champion within Capgemini’s Accelerated Solutions Environment (ASE). An ASE DesignShop is an intense, creative, multi-day event that guides stakeholders to rapidly co-create and align on actionable solutions and a path forward. The pandemic created a need to instantly pivot these sessions into the virtual world whilst maintaining the key design and experiential magic of our process. Post-pandemic, we recognized the need for hybrid and levelling the experiential playing field for virtual and in-person participants. Kate’s passion and interest is to ensure that the experience is as seamless as possible for both participants and the teams that work each event whilst researching emerging technologies to take us into the future.
Kate lives in Chicago with a husband, dog, and two cats.
