With the retirement age now at 67, the lifespan of our careers is longer than ever before. Rapidly changing technology and business landscapes present challenges for mature workers, and women over 50 often encounter additional barriers to career advancement.
In this session, you will:

- Develop strategies for career advancement and longevity
- Learn how to support and mentor women at senior levels
Speaker Bio
Tess Surprenant manages and directs the strategies for career development services for both the Bloch Career Center and the UMKC Career Services office. This includes providing training for job search skills and career progression planning for all alumni, undergraduate and graduate students, and building relationships with local, national, and international employers to identify internship and full-time professional opportunities. Tess began her career in marketing and business development in a variety of industries and has 15+ years of experience in university career services. Tess holds a B.S. in technical communications and an M.S. in management of technology from the University of Minnesota.
