VIRTUAL | UMKC Presents: Expectations for Board Service
Serving on a board can be incredibly rewarding. As a board member, you can have a tremendous positive impact on initiatives that are important to you, expand your network, and tackle interesting challenges -- but this also comes with significant responsibility. Failing to properly fulfill your role can lead to negative consequences for the organization and your reputation. Before you join a board, it's important to understand the expectations of board service and how to be a good director.
During this panel discussion you will:
- Learn about the different types of boards
- Understand what the expectations are for board members
- Discover opportunities for board service that you may not have been aware of before
