Sandra A. J. Lawrence retired from Children’s Mercy after 2 years as CAO/EVP and 11 as CFO/EVP. Previously, she served 8 years on CMH's Governing and Foundation boards. Prior, she was CFO/SVP of MRI, VP/Admin for Gateway, Director of MRI’s Statistics & Economics Center/Regl Dvmt, and Pres of Stern Brothers Investment Bank. Lawrence serves on the board, as Chair of Nom/Gov/CR and on the Comp Comm of Evergy; as trustee and on the Corp Gov Comm of the Ivy and Waddell and Reed Mutual Funds Complex Trust; on the board, as Chair of Audit and as a member of the Nom/Gov Comm of American Shared Hospital Services; as Leadership Fellow and Board Chair of the NACD Heartland Chapter; on the board, as Chair of Audit and on the Investment Comm of the Hall Family Fdn; as trustee, as Chair of Audit and on the Investment Comm of the Nelson-Atkins Museum; and as Co-Chair of Women Corporate Directors Kansas City. Ms. Lawrence received an MBA from Harvard; an M.Arch from MIT; and an A.B. from Vassar.
