About Us
Wellner Architects, Inc. is a mid-sized planning, architecture, and interior design firm in Kansas City, Missouri. The firm was established in 1987 by Julie Wellner, AIA, and is 100% woman owned. Project types include aviation, education, commercial office and retail, research and development, healthcare, and civic/government projects. Our projects range from large scale new construction, to detailed renovation. Our services include site selection, programming, master planning, concept design, facility assessments, building design, bidding guidance and construction administration. Our services may be procured directly, or via design-build or construction management relationships.
Our public experiences in the Kansas City area include the new KCI Terminal, East Patrol and Crime Lab, Fires Stations 29 and 41, as well as various projects for local K-12 school districts, UMKC, UCM, and other teaching institutions. Our public and private clients include KCMO, Clay County, the Veterans Administration, the Postal Service, UMB, Tnemec, Sprint, Catalent, Hennessy Research, and many others.
Wellner Architects strives to provide rational aesthetic design, while providing sustainable, quality building solutions that satisfy the individual requirements of each specific project.
