Container Gardening with Mae Christensen
One of the fastest, most gratifying and versatile kind of gardening. Anything you can grow in the ground, can be grown in containers and much more. Mae will arm you with the must do’s and don’ts of Container Gardening.
Mae Christenson has been a Johnson County Extension Master Gardener since 1997. Gardening has provided her with the opportunities to appreciate the wonders of nature and learned the fact that we cannot outsmart “Mother nature”. Over the years, she has adapted to growing with the flow syncing the gardener’s energy, the micro climate and the plants to have a garden that thrives without a lot of fuss. Gardeners can really make a difference to bring solutions to the many environmental issues we are facing today such as solid waste management, protecting the waterways, the extinctions of beneficial insects and song birds are few examples. Gardening activities can bring health and happiness to self and the community.
