Lessons in Leadership is for leaders eager to grow. Join fellow CXers on the 1st Tuesday of every month for a conversation about a relevant leadership topic to grow in knowledge, learn from others, and identify ways to stretch yourself. 

Each month our Lessons in Leadership facilitator, Julie Klima, Executive Director at Gift of Life, will interview a guest woman in leadership who will share their experience and philosophies. December's special guest is Mary Messner, Acting Executive Director at Madam President Camp, and Founder and CEO of Highline Creative Group and Leadership Is.

Whether you are a manager or project leader, new entrant to the workforce with company leadership on the horizon, an entrepreneur leading in a variety of ways, or an executive, you are welcome to join Lessons in Leadership. Real discussion leads to evolving mindsets and behaviors, and the CX virtual environment is comfortable for open discussion and sharing.
 

Julie Klima is the executive director of Gift of Life, a Kansas-based non-profit that supports the awareness and success of organ, eye, and tissue donation and transplant locally and around the country. With more than two decades of experience working at the intersection of customer experience, marketing, and technology, Julie thrives using her breadth of nonprofit and private sector experience to add value to the community and loves learning with and from other strong female leaders.

Mary Messner believes creativity and leadership is for everyone and exists in all places – personally, professionally, and the spaces in between. She enjoys challenging the textbook definition of leadership and encouraging others to explore how to become leaders who thrive in today’s ever-changing environment. With creativity, Mary delivers inspiration, knowledge, and solutions to individuals and companies as they explore their own definition of leadership. As the founder of Highline Creative Group, LLC, Mary brings her corporate and small business experience to each interaction with the goal of creating meaningful connections with her clients and audience.

Expanding her passion for leadership to youth in the Kansas City area, Mary serves in the role of Executive Director for local non-profit, Madam President Camp. She takes great joy in supporting middle school-aged girls as they discover their leadership skills and path to become civically engaged in our community and beyond.
