You will learn about the psychological research on motivation, job attitudes, and job satisfaction. Through discussion and demonstration, you will learn how to motivate your employees and put energy and enthusiasm back into your workplace!
Dr. Amanda Gilchrist is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Cottey College, where she teaches courses related to cognition, learning and conditioning, biopsychology, and industrial/organizational psychology. She earned her PhD in Psychology with a concentration in cognition and neuroscience in 2011 from the University of Missouri. Her areas of research interest include memory, attention, and lifespan development; publications of her research have appeared in such journals as Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory and Cognition; Attention, Perception, and Psychophysics; Aging, Neuropsychology, and Cognition; and Frontiers in Psychology. She is a member of the Psychonomic Society as well as Women in Cognitive Science.
