DT | Same Behavior, Different Consequences: Gender Bias in the Workplace - 11:45 a.m.
Do you ever wonder whether gender bias still survives in the workplace? Wonder no more – unfortunately, it is alive and thriving. Come hear about the latest research studies that show how similar workplace behavior affects men and women differently. We’ll discuss the research results and then compare them to our own experiences. Through interactive discussions, we will brainstorm coping and/or correcting strategies and set goals for using this knowledge to enhance our careers and/or businesses. Cheryl will share some of her experiences leading in a male-dominated field and what has worked (and what hasn’t) in confronting gender bias.
Dr. Cheryl McConnell is Dean of the Helzberg School of Management at Rockhurst University.
