Lessons in Leadership is for leaders eager to grow. Join fellow CXers for a conversation with a woman leader in the community, so you can grow in knowledge, learn from others, and identify ways to stretch yourself.
Each session our Lessons in Leadership facilitator, Julie Klima, founder and chief strategist at Purpose Amp, will interview a guest woman in leadership who will share their experience and philosophies. August's special guest is Mandy Shoemaker, Founder of My Purpose Built Life.
Whether you are a manager or project leader, new entrant to the workforce with company leadership on the horizon, an entrepreneur leading in a variety of ways, or an executive, you are welcome to join Lessons in Leadership. Real discussion leads to evolving mindsets and behaviors, and CX's environment is comfortable for open discussion and sharing.
Mandy Shoemaker is a Kansas City native. Growing up here in Overland Park, she left for Colorado to attend college and started her career as a teacher in the Pacific Northwest. Returning in 2005 to be closer to family she has been an elementary school principal in Blue Valley and Olathe, an award winning entrepreneur in the senior living space, and now she is an ICF certified personal development coach and a certified Enneagram practitioner. Working with individuals and teams, Mandy's focus has turned to how we can show up as our most authentic selves at home and at work. Julie Klima is the founder and chief strategist at Purpose Amp, helping purpose-minded organizations amplify their impact and turn passion into action. Julie is a passionate advocate for a thriving nonprofit sector and has more than two decades of cross-sector experience leading teams through growth and change.
