IN-PERSON | WiSTEMM "Wine Down" Happy Hour Presented by ProActive Solutions | Conversations with the 2022 Women of STEMM
Women in STEMM is a Central Exchange movement designed to put a well-deserved spotlight on women in Kansas City working in the fields of science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine (STEMM). By focusing on successful STEMM leaders, WiSTEMM hopes to draw attention to the resource shortfall in these careers, provide inspiration for those pursuing STEMM careers, and help create retention of women currently in STEMM careers.
Through WiSTEMM, you will find:
-
INSPIRATION: Celebrate and acknowledge women for achievement and advancement.
-
SUPPORT: Foster community and achieve professional development.
-
CONNECTION: Network and create mentor relationships with other women in STEMM fields.
In 2014 the STEMMy Awards were created to celebrate the accomplishments of women business and civic leaders, students and educators, and entrepreneurs and advocates who work together to increase gender diversity and who excel in their STEMM field.
At the 9th Annual STEMMy Awards in October 2022, Central Exchange celebrated the accomplishments of 12 women and one corporate hero who are setting trends and breaking barriers in their STEMM fields.
Join us on Wednesday, March 29th from 4:00-5:30 PM for our quarterly WiSTEMM "Wine Down" Happy Hour to network with other women and join in on the conversation as we hear from a few of the 2022 STEMMy Award Winners!
Moderated by Kisa Caruthers, we will hear from Dr. Zdeňka Guadarrama, Sharita Lurks, Amanda Pierce, Anita Ranhotra and Dr. Frances Yang and learn what they have been up to since they walked on the stage to receive their award in 2022.
In addition, discussion and questions will be answered regarding nominations for the 2023 STEMMy Awards! To learn more about the CX STEMMy Awards, visit cxstemmys.com today.
