VIRTUAL — Courageous Conversations | Creating Inclusive Cultures: Surviving and Thriving in the Workplace
“It is time to stop trying to fit into old paradigms, and instead to shape the organizations we want to lead, the world we want to live in, and the workplace cultures where all people can fully engage and thrive.” Sherri Lassila
The value of diversity comes from recognizing the many differences that people bring to the workplace. The power of diversity is harnessed when these individual differences are seen, valued, and heard in the organization. An inclusive work culture is one that:
Utilizes diverse perspectives to broaden the scope of problem-solving;
Encourages collaboration, learning from differences, flexibility, and equitable treatment; and
Embeds these values in organizational structures, policies, and practices.
This community dialogue brings all of our perspectives together to seek understanding and to enact real change in our workplaces and our community.
